Our adult class in basic drawing continues on January 17, 24 and 31 at 10 a.m. Learn how to “see” like an artist, and how to draw that image on paper. All supplies are free so you must register with Stan Campbell at the library in advance.
Creative-a-tea Month: Elevenses
Join us January 17 at 11 a.m. for this celebration of National Hot Tea Month and The Hobbit with a sampling of biscuits and various teas from around the world. Registration is required. This program is for those 18 years of age and older.
Laughs and Crafts Club
There is always a craft, a story and a snack and always a good time at Laughs and Crafts Club. This program is for kids who are in kindergarten and up. This month the club will be meeting January 17, 24 and 31 at 3:45 p.m. Registration is required.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 21 the library will be closed.
This program is for children Birth – 36 months and their caregivers. Programs will include rhymes, fingerplays, music and stories. Storytimes will be offered January 22, 28 and 29 at 9:30 a.m. Registration is required.
Stories, music, activities, and crafts for children ages 3 through 5. Parents are welcome to either participate with their child, or can use the time to browse the library for their own interests. Preschool Storytimes will be offered January 22, 28 and 29 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is required.

Adult Winter Reading
On Tuesday, January 22 the Adult Winter Reading Program Alexandrian Public Library’s Seventh Annual Adult Winter Reading Program “By the Fire” will get underway at the library. And any one 18 or older is welcome to join in on all the fun.
For each Alexandrian Public Library book, eBook or audio book read, you may enter your name in a drawing for prizes. The more you read, the better your chances of winning After reading six (6) items, you will receive a completion prize and a white card/entry form for the Grand Prize drawing of a $100 Visa gift card. These white cards may be used for either the Grand Prize drawing or any of the smaller prizes.
