We are continuing our adult drawing series on March 7, 14 and 21 at 10 a.m. Learn how to “see” like an artist, and how to draw that image on paper. This is an ongoing series of three consecutive programs. All supplies are free so you must register. You must be 18 or older to attend.
We’re Keen on Green
March 7 at 6 p.m. will be our next Special Needs Storytime program. This interactive program will be all about things that are green. This event focuses on the needs of children on the autism spectrum. Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers are invited. Registration is required.
The next meeting of the Lego Club will be held on March 13 at 3:30 p.m. This is a monthly club for anyone age 6 and older who loves working with Legos. Each meeting we will be building things from Legos. Registration is required.
Laughs and Crafts Club
Join us for stories, songs, poems, games and more on a new theme every week, followed by a craft on March 14, 21 and 28 at 3:45 p.m. This program is for kids who are in kindergarten and up. Registration is required.
Easter Egg Hunt
March 22 at 6 p.m. – Family Storytime – Save this date! This is the time of our Easter Egg Hunt program. Please note this is on Friday and registration is required for this popular event. We will make a basket for your eggs, so there is no need to bring one. There will be live Nursery Rhyme Animals including: a sheep, a goat, a piglet, a cat, kittens, a dog and rabbits. Plus, we will be offering free photos with the Easter Bunny. Registration for this very special program begins March 1 and ends March 21.
Fine Craft and
Fine craft artists and artisans from across Posey County are invited to participate in the Alexandrian Public Library Fine Art and Craft Exhibition on April 12 – 14. Anyone residing or working in Posey County may participate and submit one entry in any one of the categories of clay, glass, furniture, quilting, fiber, metal, photography, jewelry, needle work, painting, wood and 3D mixed media. Students, amateurs and professionals are encouraged to participate in this exhibit. Those wishing to enter the exhibit may begin doing so April 1 to April 9.

Can’t register on-line? Call the Adult Information Desk at (812) 838-3286 or visit the Adult Information Desk in person. Our library staff representative will be ready to assist you and answer your questions.
You can register up to four weeks in advance and for as many events as you like. All supplies are provided free. Plan ahead and register your place early to assure yourself a seat. Registration requests are recorded immediately if they are made by web, phone and in person.
