The
Posey County Area Plan Commission met last
week to review a rezone and act on a
violation of the county zoning ordinance.
The
board reviewed documentation that showed a
violation by Dennis Hogan for a mobile home
on Blackburn Road.
According to records, Hogan moved in the
mobile home before obtaining the permission
of the Zoning Board last year.
After setting up the mobile home, he asked
the board for its permission for the mobile
home. The board denied the permit.
The
mobile home was supposed to then be removed
from the lot.
Thursday evening, the Zoning Board members
agreed to pass the violation of Zoning
Ordinance 022293 on to the Area Plan
Commission.
The
Area Plan had previously sent a letter
reminding Hogan to move the trailer.
At
the time of last week’s meeting, the mobile
home had still not been removed.
The
Area Plan board voted to move forward by
seeking legal action on the violation.
The
board also approved a rezoning for Richard
Barton on his land at 7032 Highway 66, lying
in Center Township.
The
petition to rezone the property from a R-1
District to a B-3 District under Posey
County Zoning Ordinance 02-22-93 was
approved by the Area Plan Commission.
The
legal description of the land is on file in
the Area Plan office.
